Create More Space in Your Makeup Drawer

Are you tired of having all those MAC eye shadow containers take up space in your makeup drawer?
Well here's a solution to your problem...depot your eye shadows!

Here's what you'll need:
  • parchment or wax paper
  • flat iron
  • knife (a very pointed)
  • small towel
  • MAC eye shadow

Here's what to do:

1. Pop plastic disk from container (please excuse my unmanicured nails)

2. Put the wax paper on your flat iron and place the plastic disk on top of your covered flat iron plate for 45-60 seconds
the wax paper I used burned & smelled a little...but nothing worth calling the fire department for

3. Pick up the plastic disk from the edge BE VERY CAREFUL it's hot like hell! Now get your knife and push the center of the back of the disk to pop the metal plate out.

4. Once it pops out you can rest it on the towel you have laying and wait till it cools down

5. No you'll have a metal plate which you can glue a magnet to the back ...don't forget to label them

6. Now you get to place your shadows in a palette
Here's where to get them from:

MAC: $6 for the 4 shadow holder or $14 for 15 shadow

Z Palette: $20 for this cute zebra one which is awesome for different shapes & sizes

A more economical way to go would be to created a palette out of an old CD case
You just need to line the CD with a magnetic sheet and a rubber cabinet liner (which I bought at the dollar tree)

Now you'll have more space for more makeup :)
Hope this was helpful ...until next time!
